Focus, planning and priorities start here

Executive functions are the essential self-regulating skills we all use every day to plan, organise, make decisions, and learn. In children, especially those with ADHD/ASD, executive function capabilities can vary greatly, leading to mental inflexibility, persistence, and planning difficulties. This can impact social awareness, self regulation and pro-social orientation, leading to difficulties in social development during schooling. Our team offers a range of individual and group therapies to assist with executive functioning difficulties.

This group can address issues like:

  • Identifying areas of concern
  • Explicit instruction of key skills and knowledge
  • Key strategies and skills, which are transferable and necessary for success
  • Executive functioning skills
  • Emotional regulation
  • Coping with change
  • Plan of how to consolidate new knowledge acquired
Our therapists:

  • Are passionate about helping your teen to learn, develop and promote independence and resilience
  • Have a strong emphasis on building relationships with children, families and schools
  • Will monitor our impact on children’s learning, mental health and emotional regulation
  • Will adapt and adjust our approaches according to each child’s individual needs
